1. Primary Functions
Data Acquisition & Transmission:
Captures steady-state and transient waveform data from rotating machinery, enabling dynamic condition monitoring.
Transfers high-speed data via Ethernet to host software (e.g., System 1®) for real-time analysis.
System Integration:
Acts as the interface between the 3500 monitoring system and diagnostic software (System 1® or 3500 Configuration Software).
Combines functionalities of Rack Interface Module (RIM) and communication processors (e.g., TDXnet).
Advanced Monitoring Capabilities:
Supports high-resolution transient data capture (with optional Channel Enable Disk).
Processes signals from M-series monitors (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M) for vibration, temperature, and Keyphasor® measurements.
Alarm & Protection:
Triggers alerts or shutdowns when parameters exceed thresholds, preventing equipment damage.
